Joni Metras
Joni most recently played the roles of Brenda Parker in A Bedfull of Foreigners and Lizzy Flynn in
The Uninvited. She was co-director of
Aesop's Fables and stage manager for the Summer 2016 production of
Treasure Island and the Summer 2015 production of The Jungle Book
with the youth arm of PPP, The Pasture Bedtime Players. In 2015 she played the role of Hooker #1 in Wedding Secrets.
Previously with Pasture Prime she played Carlene Hart in The Hallelujah Girls and
Mrs. Hortense Daigle in Bad Seed.She made her debut appearance with the Pasture Prime Players as Bernice in Drinking
Companion and Sister Mary Margaret in Gosforth's Fete from Sir Alan Ayckbourn's
Confusions. She also sings alto with the Pasture Prime Chorale.
She acts, choreographs & directs, but prefers being on stage. She recently played Deidre McInis in Lost and Found by local playwright Edward Humphries,
which had it's world premier on the Pasture Prime Stage. A long-time resident of Charlton, she is a familiar face on stage at Gateway Players
Theater in Southbridge. There she has acted, directed, choregraphed, stage managed &
just about everything else! Memorable roles include Betty Meeks in The Foreigner,
Aunt Harriett in The Heiress, Ms. Clairee in Steel Magnolias, Sylvia in End Days,
Florence in The Odd Couple-Female Version. Musical roles include Miss Adelaide in
Guys & Dolls, Rosie in Bye Bye Birdie, Sr. Hubert in Nunsense, Babette in Beauty &
the Beast, & Polly in Crazy for You. She has also performed with the Dudley Hill
Players & St. Mary's Players. An elementary teacher in a "past" life, she is now
working at The UPS Store in Auburn & helping to collect 200,000 pairs of shoes!
She is madly in love with her husband of many years, and very proud of her 2 grown
sons & their "gals"! She would like to thank Don & the Pasture Prime Players for this fun experience!
